A good drill for learning
bunker shots is to place two parallel lines about twelve inches apart in the
sand. Place a golf ball in the middle of the two lines. Swing so that your golf
club enters the sand at the back line and exits near the front line. You will
notice that the golf ball pops up and out nicely, and more important, you will
learn to hit the sand well behind the golf ball to execute this shot.
