40% Rule

About 40 percent of your
golf score will come from putting. With this in mind, you should devote about 40
percent of the practice time you have available to putting practice. Take a look
at who is practicing putting a great deal of time at your golf course. If it is
like most golf courses, it will be the better players of your membership. Take a
putting lesson from your golf pro as well to give you a good starting point for
improvement
