Mark Your Ball If It Helps Your Opponent

____________________________________________________________

Let's say that in match play, your golf ball comes to rest near the hole. Your opponent asks you to leave the golf ball there, as it might help his or her golf ball come to a stop if it hits yours when he makes his putt. You are entitled to mark your golf ball anytime that you feel your ball may assist another player. Always opt to mark it and not give an undue advantage to an opponent or competitor.
